Same table, different space.

Rituals are intentional and symbolic moments people create to connect -- to themselves, others, an environment or something transcendent. This project explores what happens when we can no longer engage in these rituals as we once had.

Agora, a speculative dinnerware set, considers the importance of physical connection during meaningful food ritual moments. By using smart technology, Agora allows individuals in different physical locations to serve one another. Through this, Agora starts a conversation around ways we can maintain shared ritual experiences even when we’re not in the same place.
